Dear Members,
This week we have improved the WiFi services we provide to you. This should also resolve the issue Gill has been experiencing with card readers, when the club is busy. Speed and range testing has been performed with the BT Engineer and coverage is good across the entire footprint of the clubhouse. You will notice a new "Wilmslow Rugby Club - Private" network, which will be used only by Gill for the card readers. Our service provider believes this should resolve the issues we have been experiencing. The older "Wilmslow Rugby Club" network remains the same but now has more bandwidth. Within the club we can now expect up to 200 Mb/s. On the terrace, based upon our WiFi extender, we can expect up to 150 Mb/s. Even when the club is full this, we believe, will meet the members needs.
If members have any positive comments, observations, or ideas about the WiFi services provided please do let me know. I just wish I could get fibre services at home! What we have now is about the best possicle WiFi in the area!!
