The Wilmslow Wolves stay ahead of the pack, after a closely fought victory at Port-e-Chee, as the full season kicks off fully next weekend, with a game at home against Waterloo. Big Red scored two, including a stunning winner, converted by stand in kicker Sam Keep. Ten minutes of extra-scrummaging-time didn’t take it out of the Victorious Wolves, who turned over the Douglas ball on their own line to win a famous victory, only the second ever win away in Douglas. Douglas are no mugs, having turn over eventual Champions North Ribblesdale in last seasons opening game Port-e-Chee, and also beating Wilmslow in the Cheshire Vase, in the last game of the season. A great start for the newly promoted Wolves.”
